Project 6: Color Schemes

For my monochromatic color scheme design I used the hue blue. My monochromatic painting uses value as a way of directing a direction in the piece. For my analogous color scheme painting I used red, red/orange, and orange. My analogous color scheme utilizes color in a couple of ways. The first way is that it directs a direction for the viewer. The other way is that it gives the piece a sense of depth. I found that my color mixing was good. The reason for that was from doing all the smaller designs and learning through multiple attempts. I also think that my sense of depth could have been done better. Although, it was much better than my practice ones, I still believe that more practice would have benefited me greatly.
